NIH Homes wins Reggie Award from BATC, NIH Homes, Reggie Awards

NIH Homes is proud to be the recipient of a Reggie Award from the Builders Association of the Twin Cities for one of our homes in Taylor Creek of Plymouth, MN.

From the BATC:

At a red carpet gala on Saturday, October 23rd, the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) honored award-winning builders and associate members for excellence in home building. Held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown St. Paul, the evening showcased the best new homes being constructed in the region.

“Our Awards Gala is the most anticipated night of the year for BATC’s members,” said David Siegel, BATC Executive Director. “Being new to the association and the industry, it was a real treat for me to see the talents and abilities of so many of our members on display. I truly am proud to be a part of an industry that has such high-caliber people who take such pride in their work.”

The culmination of the evening was presentation of the Reggie AwardsSM. These honors have been given to only the very best homes every fall since 1968. Recognizing outstanding achievement by builders in the design, quality and value of their homes as judged by their harshest critics, other builders. All of the homes judged were on display to the public during the 2010 Parade of Homes Fall ShowcaseSM.

In addition to the Reggie AwardsSM, homes from the 2010 Fall Parade of HomesSM participated in the Trillium AwardsSM and Peoples Choice Awards. Recognizing the partnership between builder and suppliers and sub-contractors in creating excellence, the Trilliums are judged in five areas: Best Exteriors, Best Interiors, Best Kitchens, Best Baths, and Best Special Area. The Peoples Choice are just that, homes chosen to be best by the public who toured them during the Parade of HomesSM.

The evening also honored members for marketing achievements, including Best Website, Best Brochure, and Best Sales Representative. Additionally, two members received recognition for their service to BATC, the housing industry, and to their community. All winners are listed online here.

The night’s big winner was Accent Homes Inc. They earned one Reggie AwardSM for their home in Champlin, and for their home in Blaine they took home a Reggie AwardSM and four Trillium AwardsSM (for Best Exterior, Best Interior, Best Kitchen and Best Bath).

REGGIE AND TRILLIUM AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN HOME DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

Since 1968, BATC has presented the Reggie Award to builders for outstanding achievement in the design, quality and value of their homes as judged by their harshest critics, builders and professionals within the industry. All of the homes judged were on display to the public during the 2012 Fall Parade of HomesSM. After viewing all the homes in each of 15 price categories, the four judges assigned to the category met to compare notes and select the winner. A total of 104 homes from 55 building firms were entered in the competition.

The Trillium Awards were designed over two decades ago to recognize the partnership between builder and their suppliers and sub-contractors in creating excellence. BATC member companies that participated with the builder in the design and construction of any Reggie-entered home entered the competition at their discretion. The Trillium Awards were then presented to the participating companies for their work on Reggie winning homes.

For the second year in a row, Homes by Tradition LLC took home two Reggie Awards. And, three associate BATC members each earned three Trillium Awards: Fireside Hearth and Home, Scherer Bros. Lumber, and Southern Lights.

“Earning a Reggie Award is truly an honor,” says Carole Griffith, Vice President of Sales with Homes by Tradition. “And we love telling our customers that other builders chose our home as the best, what better testament can we have.”
