Summer is in full swing and that means 4th of July, picnics and music festivals! We understand that most of you aren’t thinking about new homes in the Twin Cities right now. You’re thinking about getting outside and enjoying all of the summertime activities that are so special to those of us who suffer through the long winters here. Pretty soon the Parade of Homes(sm) will be here and you’ll get to see some of the beautiful luxury homes we’ve been working on all summer. In the mean time July is a great month to hit up the best music festivals in the Twin Cities, it’s also a great time to see spectacular fireworks displays (we’ve got a list of them at the end of this post) and best of all July is a great month to head up to the cabin and just relax.

Basilica Block Party

From boy bands to mangled lyrics, we’ve all sinned. Repent by attending this “musical redemption” that features local bands and national acts in the shadow of the Basilica of St. Mary in downtown Minneapolis. Highland Fest

Yes, the entire city of Minneapolis takes a whole week off to party in the sun. The Aquatennial is the official civic celebration of the City of Minneapolis. Entering its 76th year, the summer festival has more than 70 events ranging from milk carton boat races to the coveted Torchlight Parade and “Most Amazing Race.” Click here for more information.

Bloomington Summer Fete

Bloomington’s Summer Fete happens every year on July 3 at Normandale Lake Park. The 84th Street region will kick off with the Kids’ Carnival Area at 5:00pm featuring more inflatable attractions than ever before with a few specialty attractions! The 84th Street Kids’ stage, celebrating its seventh big year, will once again feature the best in family entertainment. Top off the evening with the annual Summer Fete fireworks display.

Edina Independence Day Parade & Fireworks

From youth groups marching to seniors dancing, the Edina 4th of July Parade offers excitement for all ages. Parade begins behind Edina City Hall, 4801 W 50th St, Edina, and ends at the US Bank parking lot at 50th St and Halifax Ave. Live music at Roseland Park followed by fireworks at 10:00pm.
Excelsior Lake Minnetonka 4th of July Celebration
