In Minnesota it’s Give to the Max Day, a day where everyone is encouraged to choose a worthy non profit organization or school and make a donation. Last year more than $17 million was raised for Minnesota organizations in just one day!

How to get involved:

Go to GiveMN.org and choose a cause to support. Click here for a list of categories. You can give to schools in need, Minnesota parks, religious foundations, and even places like Free Geek which refurbishes technology for those in need. Click on the link and choose your donation amount and follow the directions from there. You can even share your donation with friends via social media.

Look for the green GiveMN hats in downtown Minneapolis. People from GiveMN will be downtown giving away incentives to give during the morning commute. If you’re wearing green you could earn some great prize incentives too including a $20 Metro Transit Go-To card. They’ll also be handing out on the go breakfast snacks and hot cocoa. Look for the folks in the green hats on Nicollet Mall.

Use GiveMN.org on your mobile or tablet device to make a donation on the go!

On November 13, go to GiveMN.org to print a special Metro Transit downloadable pass. Show it to the bus operator or transit police for a free ride home. Good for use on any form of transit except Northstar. No purchase or donation required, just a nice thank you from GiveMN for your support.
